Pre-orders for the new iPhone 4S have out-staged all previous records by topping a million says Apple.

We were all so very disappointed that there was no iPhone 5 with a brand spanking new design and bigger screen. After studying the inside specs of the new smartphone – it seems we have all changed our minds, and decided to put our money on the iPhone 4S. It would be hard to imagine that the tragic passing of Steve Jobs only a day after the announcement wouldn’t have also made an impact on sales. It was reported Monday that even Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice-president of worldwide products, said that Apple was “Blown Away” by the success.

I just found this interesting customer service opportunity for Discount Tires while testing out Social Mention. It appears we all hate waiting to get our tires rotated. How could this brand use twitter to improve this part of their business? Social Mention and other brand monitoring tools seem to becoming more and more important to help understand your customer and their experience with your company. One customer service strategy, just like in real life that would probably be effective would be "Listen - Engage - Help" right on twitter in real time. What if someone at this company was monitoring this stream in real time and used this opportunity to improve customer experience, add value to the conversation and build brand capital?

America's Got Talent - The Finale: Jackie Evancho sings with Sarah Brightman - Video

This young Star was amazing performing on Americas Got Talent and made it all the way to the final and second place. She got my vote but did not take the win. This might be a blessing in disguise because she can do even better then AGT Las Vegas show. There is no hurry. Enjoy the ride Jackie and way to go. Loved every minute of your performances.
